The cable guys...

Today was another rather odd day at work, but nonetheless I had quite some fun (it was another day filled with compliments, so who am I to complain!? ;-) ) Anyway, the wind's come up again, and it was clearly influencing everyone...
For one, our manager started rearranging the lights, so it wouldn't be as bright as it usually is, and some people reacted to it, and when he came back from behind the closet his eyes were shining as if he were a small boy who'd pulled a great prank, it was really amusing to see! He's a cool guy, he really is, ok, he might not win the 'Manager of the Year'-award, but quite frankly I don't know of a manager who might... except maybe Sir Jim Wilson himself, but you know, in a way Steven reminds me of him, only Steven hasn't yet spilled his pint of lager on me... ;-) I'd surely enjoy a night in the pub with him though, because he has an interesting view on life, and we kind of have a similar sense of humour...

A N Y W A Y... before I drift away too far... this morning some workmen entered the office, and we were all quite unsure what they were there for and what they were doing, at a certain point the started unrolling cables through the hallway, into the smoking (aka breaktime) room, in the rooms we use for lessons, they demonted some pieces of the ceiling and were walking around, looking at the ceiling, moving on, coming back, looking again. We discussed the matter at lunch and were making fun of it... after lunchtime the process started again, but this time it was like someone pressed the rewind button, they were looking at the ceiling, moving on, coming back, looking again, and then they started to put the cables back the way they found them... so we were minding the guys and their cables all day, trying not to trip over them whilst going to the toilet... for no reason at all... but the cable guys worked their full eight hours and still have all the cables they started with, so they musn't worry to be unemployed tomorrow, I bet they'll start their process all over again... ;-)
