The scare of a lifetime

My colleague was reading an article from an online paper out loud, there is a bombalarm going on in a school in Lier, in Koninklijk Technisch Atheneum, our boys go to a primary school in Koninklijk Atheneum. I did not hear her say Technisch, but I heard Koninklijk Atheneum, I have never ever experienced a similar feeling, I died a million deaths in just one minute.

The actual alarm is going on in the street that is parallel with ours, it's just around the corner, but still, I honestly don't mind, if our house gets blown away, everything can just blow up in my humble opinion, as long as I know our boys are alright...

I'll be so happy to see them, I'll hug them to death, I won't sigh tonight if Soufyan asks why for the twentieth time in a minute.

Who the hell calls a bombalarm in a school??? what kind of sick mind does that???? What's the use of it? Is it not getting a bit out of hand?

Ok, I admit to be a worried mum, but I bet I am not the only one...

Awww shucks, sorry to hear it. But hey, nothing bad happened, so it's all good, right? I remember we constantly had some form of bomb threat in my old school. At least once a semester. Dunno... it's not particularly clever, but some people are just idiots. But if your kids get an extra helping of hugs out of it, it's all the better :)

You're right, but it's not the bomb threat that scared me, but the evacuation of the kids, and it still bothers me. What if they decided to pull the same prank on their school, it's just down the road, so maybe some idiot gets the same clever thought and they have to evacuate. How the hell will they manage?? I mean at IBM a bunch of grown ups didn't manage to evacuate correctly, and where will they evacuate to? I was discussing the matter with Phasma, who advised me to have a talk to the teacher and ask her how they evacuate, so I'll do that, because I'm still not at ease after that, it really got the worst of me. But I know it'll get better or grow on my, like most things do :)
