Today...

it has been a while since I update you all on the e-mails editor Bob keeps sending me. Well, today I got another e-mail. And you'll never guess what day it is (it's my Uncle's b-day) ... it's "Tell a joke day", quite ironic since today is the first in the entire week that I do not feel like telling jokes...

And since it's already half past ten in the evening I doubt I'll get in the mood ;) but hey, maybe I get a cracking idea, if I do, I'll surely let you all know! :D

Good thing Editor Bob also included a joke, however, I don't think it's really amusing though. The joke didn't even make me smile.

But there's another thing going on today... today is also "True love forever day", but I think that's another one of his jokes ;) however, the thought of love forever seems quite appealing to me, but it kind of makes me wonder too. Why the hell would you create a day for something to happen eternally, would every day therefore not be true love forever day? or is only August 16th suitable for the matter?

Hmm he included something rather worrying in his e-mail, starting on Sunday is Friendships week... NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
that means I will be spammed with the mail messages of Winnie The Pooh, Me to You etc. and they will keep coming for eternity. ;)

Ok, maybe today was not such a good day to update my blog... ;)

Today...

I had to skip going to work today since Soufyan was ill this morning. I really regret not going to work, since today is probably the last working day for one of my work mates, and I didn't want to miss it, but he was really too bad to send to school. So I phoned in this morning for a day of social leave. And now I am obliged to listen to a song by a pig and the pig doesn't do a lot but farting in the song... jeej... :D

But I do hope that Soufyan will feel a lot better later on, since we're heading a long weekend (four days) and I'd like to enjoy the weather and do stuff with them, but if he's ill, it won't be on... ah well, we'll see!

Today...

It's been a while since I've updated you on what day it is or was, but that was mainly because we have missed 'chocolate covered raisins-day', 'pecan-day' etc., so that was too much of the good, even I wouldn't dare to post similar things! ;)

However, today is a day worth mentioning: today is the 'international fun at work-day', however, I don't really think everyone agrees, I for one have the day off, I heard Icky this afternoon on the phone, and he didn't sound like it was the most amusing work day he'd ever had, he just sounded like he always sounds. But, it's another one of those days. Good thing the sun is shining! :D

Today is Quentin Tarantino's day turn to be in the 'who's birthday is it today' spotlight! :-)

Hoorah for him, he's turning 44 today!

He's known for making better movies like 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Kill Bill (2)', 'Pulp Fiction', 'Death Proof' etc. After seeing Reservoir Dogs for about 21 times I get his style and I'm a fan!

cuddly kitten day...

to keep y'all informed on my mailings from Editor Bob, telling me which day today is, I need to pass on this information;

today is cuddly kitten day. Lars, I know you hate kittens, so I guess you won't be too happy with this day ;)

But for all the kittens out there: it's your cuddly day! haha, I don't think there'll be a kitten who cares, but still...

 

 

Today...

is world water day! Which is actually quite ironic since we got our bill from Pidpa (the water company in Belgium), and the bill for the past year scared the hell out of me... They created a site for World Water Day. It's actually really actual since the news had an item on a photographer who's got an exhibition about water, with pictures of dried out landscapes, animals, people, as well as pictures of floods etc.

Important event

Today, Thursday March 22nd, my friend and colleague Phasma is celebrating his birthday. So he deserves a special note, doesn't he?!



Dear Phasma, I hope you spend the day the way you wanted to, I hope your birthday is brilliant, that you and D will celebrate at least fifty other birthdays together and that you'll be happy and cheerful throughout the coming years! You are a really nice friend, and I feel honoured knowing you, because you really make my life more amusing! Let's hope ageing doesn't change you one bit ;p

Why does it always...

... happen to me?

Picture this, I'm walking in the corridor with my friend (he calls himself Phasma in the comments here, so I'll call him that as well in this post) and we were having a laugh with some papers one of the teamleaders put on the door and the cupboards on the office floor. He always changes them, we had a Sinterklaas end of November and the beginning of December, a Santa the rest of December etc. And now he's made some bunny's (Easter's coming up), and some of them are Winnie the Pooh dressed up as a bunny.

So there we stood, dissing him and his papers and all of a sudden he was there, right behind us... not good, not good
LOL

That's sooooooooo like Phasma and me, why do things like these always happen to us???

Today is the national day against racism and discrimination, we can only support that... :D

Spring is in the air

but someone should tell the poor flowers, because last week they were blooming and facing the sky, and today, on the first day of spring they were not really looking happy, looking down, sadly...

Poor flowers...
